I would like to thank you for coming to Aberdeen for the Grampian Open. I am glad that so many teams appeared on the beach and competed at a very high level.

16 teams competed in Men Division 1 and 5 teams in Division 1 Women and also 4 teams in men Division 2.

In Mens Division 1, Konrad Krawczyk and Marcin Mosinski took the title against the father and son combination of Iain and Seain Cook 21-17, 21-18.

In the Womens competition the final was not competed with Lilian Lieber and Cathy Smy getting a walkover.

Mens Divison 2 was won by Robin Dillaway and Andrew Taylor, beating Alistair Reid and Andrew Stephen in the final. This overturned an earlier defeat in pool play, so it was a close competition!
