Mullin and Dampney lost in 2 straight sets to the number 12 seeded Brazlians, Maria-Clara and Carol, 21-10, 21-18. This places them in a second 17th place in a row. Excellent results which will push them even further up the world rankings.

30/6/11

Mullin and Dampney lost their final pool match 21-15, 21-19 to Czech pair Kolocova-Slukova to finish 3rd in Pool G. They have managed to secure a spot in the knock-out rounds where they will play Maria Clara-Carol from Brazil.

Mullin and Dampney lost their first pool match, after a very close first set, to Italy's Cicolari-Menegatti 21-23, 16-21.

They then went on to beat the number 10 seeds, Kongshavn-Aas from Norway, 17-21, 21-18, 15-11.

Shauna Mullin/Zara Dampney and Lucy Boulton/Denise Johns are in action again this week at the Grand Slam event in Stavanger.

First up in the qualifying tournament were Mullin and Dampney agaianst Rutledge-Hochevar from the USA. After a slow start, they lost the first set but took the next two to win 18-21, 21-19, 15-11.

Boulton and Johns also won their first match against Swiss pairing Graessli-Goricanec, 21-17, 21-14.

Johns and Boulton lost their second qualification match to number 1 seeds Hansel-Montagnolli from Austria 21-15, 19-21, 11-15.

Mullin and Dampney won their second round match and a place in the main draw of a Grand Slam for the first time by beating Slovakia's Dubovcova-Nestarcova in three sets 16-21, 21-19, 15-10.
