GB Men headed to Lausanne for a CEV Satellite event 2-5 July 2009. Robin Miedzybrodzki, with new partner Garcia-Thompson. They had a country-quota match to win first , which they duly did against Jake Sheaf and Josh Randall, before getting into the qualification round proper. Unfortunately that was their last win, being eliminated by a lower seeded Italian pairing 21-19, 28-26.

Jody Gooding and Luke Sheaf and Gregg Weaver and Steve Grotowski were seeded straight into the Main Draw, however both teams dissapointingly lost in 3 sets in their first round and then were both eliminated in 2 straight sets in their losers bracket matches.
