Club Development Grants
The Scottish Volleyball Association is delighted to announce the Club Development Award Programme for season 2011/2012. The SVA has long advocated a policy of club development as being one of the primary threads of the overall development of the volleyball landscape. The Clubs which populate the work of the SVA represent both centres of excellence for current players, and the positive learning environment for developing junior players.
The proposed Club Development Grant Award Programme is designed to acknowledge the value of our clubs, and provide an opportunity for clubs to seek grant resources to further improve their structures or delivery.
The grant award scheme will have four separate levels to it;
- Clubstart Grant – grants in this category would be available to affiliated school clubs who wished to become involved in the JNL – also to affiliated JNL Clubs and other teams who wished to progress to senior involvement. This award involved participation in a minimum of 4 fixture rounds.
- Early Club Development Award – grants in this category would be available to all affiliated clubs (junior and senior) to help with minor projects. This level of award would also include all of the grants currently being made available to school clubs
- Club Development Award – grants in this category would be available to all affiliated clubs to help finance various projects – this would still include school clubs.
- Gold Star Club Development Award – grants in this category would only be available to affiliated senior clubs, and only for major projects.

There clearly is a limited amount of funding available, and therefore a limited number of grants which can be awarded, however all of the relevant information regarding amounts and application deadlines will be provided on request.
As per the Grant information Sheet, applicants must adhere to the criteria and provie the SVA with a report and photos on completion of the awarded project.
Awards and Grants can be requested at any time during the course of September 2011- March 2012. Forms will be updates in August.
We would urge you to consider this opportunity to help invest in your club and the people who make it successful, and contact the SVA for more information.
