Final Whistle Media Awards

Players Player of 2007/8

Another season of endeavour and challenge is nearing its end and the Scottish Volleyball Associations Players Player of the Year, sponsored by Final Whistle Media were presented to the winners on Sunday 27th April 2008 and fittingly after the respective Men and Women’s National Cup Finals.

The presentations were given by Lorne Sawula to the women’s winners and the men’s awards were given by Harry Brokking. The finals were honoured by both these men’s attendance as Great Britain Head Coaches and the Association would like to thank them publicly for their support.

These awards are voted by you the membership and reflect who you consider to be
‘The best of the best in Scottish Volleyball’.

Women’s Awards.
Scottish Player of the Year 2008 - Melissa Coutts, Team Edinburgh VC.
2nd place, Lynne Beattie, Su Ragazzi VC.
3rd place, Elaine Krawczyk, Troon, Prestwick & Ayr VC.
4th place, Jill Runciman, Jets VC.

Men’s Awards.
Scottish Player of the Year 2008 – Niall Collin, Dundee VC.
2nd place, Alan Krawczyk, Glasgow Mets VC.
3rd place, Julien Corsini, Jets VC.
4th place, Ivan Poupaznick, Glasgow Mets VC.

CONGRATULATIONS to all those players who were nominated and the Associations thanks to all who voted.

The SVA would also like to thank Thomas Dowens our Director of Coaching for preparing, monitoring and the processing of these Awards.

Good luck to all the players for next season and remember these are your Awards make sure you vote next year.
