…. is Celebrating Fife 2010 and Fife Councils St Andrews Area Budget through the enhancement of this years St Andrews Beach Volleyball Championships with the construction of a covered seated arena around the centre court with digital broadcasting over and around the Championship courts.
Although the Tournament for the Div 1 and Div 2 players is over the weekend Saturday 7th and Sunday 8th August, the 4’s and junior championships are completed on the Saturday. Courts will be available for players returning on the Sunday for recreational play.
Traditionally players have either camped free beach side, or stayed at the St Andrews University residences 01334 476161 www.discoverstandrews.com. Prices range from £34 per night for a single to £59 for a double
We are also pleased to announce the continued support of “1, Golf Place” where players usually spend the Saturday night and they have once more commissioned another John McPhail original (main picture) to complement the Male and Female Div 1 and the juniors trophies, which are engraved and presented every year. John has also completed the 4th in the series of volleyball figures to be kept by all winners. After the digger, volleyer and server, this year’s figure is the diver, maybe his best yet.
