GB Volleyball at the Olympics

Today marks the Opening ceremony of the long anticipated London Beach OfficialsOlympics. There has been a real buzz about the hosting of this historic Olympics in our country.

In the two disciplines, we have 2 indoor teams and 2 beach teams.

The GB Women’s squad comprises of 2 Scottish players and also the Head Coach.

The Men’s squad will comprise of 2 scottish players and the physiotherapist will also fly the flag from Scottish Volleyball.

In the Men’s beach pairing both players selected are from South of the border and will no doubt represent GB to the highest level.

In the women’s pairing, a difficult selection was made by the GB coach. Shauna Mullin is the sole representative in the Womens beach selection from Scotland. The head coach again is also from Scotland.

Scottish Volleyball is also very proud of the volunteers, officials and other support staff attenbding the games and would like to commend these people on their dedication to not only Scottish Volleyball but also volleyball as a whole in Great Britain.
