Aberdeen Host First Junior Referees Course

A total of 17 young volleyballers from Aberdeen and Aberdeenshire came along to the Beacon Centre.

A large percentage of the group were from our newest junior national league entrants Aberdeen Grammar School and the atmosphere that WS set from this group especially was exemplary.

Albert Jaster was the lead tutor and did a great job at engaging with the young individuals who responded brilliantly to a lot of information.

The game was broken down to the basics in the morning with everyone given multiple chances to get on the stand and  master the basics movements, signals and whistling actions of refereeing.

A great deal of thanks is due to Ross Allan from Aberdeen Grammar School who not only help organise the day, but stayed all day to help assist the learning experience for the youngsters. Many Thanks to Albert for running the day and his continued commitment to the development of young referees.

Everyone passed the course with some already using their qualification in JNL under 15 for Aberdeen Grammar School.
