With the first three rounds of the Scottish Cup complete on Saturday, the next stage was to stage the draw for Round 4 of the competition. This is when it gets down to business and becomes a knockout tournament. All the teams were eagerly awaiting the draw and after the University of Edinburgh vs. University of Glasgow British Universities match, the draw took place.
The Men’s draw took place first and the first tie out the bowl pitted the top 2 teams in Men’s Division 1 against each other. South Ayrshire and Glasgow Mets will meet in this week’s John Syer Trophy Final at Linlithgow Academy to win the first silverware of the season.

In the Women’s draw, another big match was drawn out the pot and again these teams will face off in the John Syer Trophy Final on Sunday. QTS Troon Team Ayrshire will take on their long time rivals Su Ragazzi in an attempt to reach the Quarter Finals of the Scottish Cup. Orkney will make a shorter trip to Aberdonia while some of the other ties look to be close matches.
