Cup Draws made

The draws for the 2009/10 Scottish Cup and Top Teams Cup were made in Cardiff during the UK School Games preparation briefing.  Representatives from the national federations of England, Northern Ireland and (making a welcome return to the international fold) Wales assisted in the draw, and were intrigued at the level of competition here in Scotland and with some of the team names and locations.

The Mens Scottish Cup comprises of six qualifying groups, with the winner of each group, and the best two runners-up progressing to the 4th Round, to be joined by the Division One teams.  In the Womens Scottish Cup, there are four qualifying groups, with the top two teams in each group qualifying for the next phase.  The teams which fail to qualify will be entered in the draw for the Scottish Plate, which will be made later in the year.
