More Support and Guidance for Clubs

Scottish Volleyball staff have been working extremely hard during lockdown to ensure that our clubs and members are kept informed on the ever-changing landscape of our sport. These changes are always based on the information and guidance set out by the Scottish Government. Now that we are in Phase 3 of our lockdown exit strategy, Playing it Safe, we recognise that clubs should be encouraged to prepare to get back to some form of activity. In order to assist clubs with this process we have created the State of Readiness, Return to Sport Checklist.

State Of Readiness Return To Sport Checklist For Clubs

This document is designed to assist you in 4 ways: Staying up to date; re-connecting and informing club members; Health & Safety; and returning to training. We have also produced our 6 Steps to Returning to Competition, which shows how we envisage our way back to competitive volleyball in Scotland. The 6 steps represent a very fluid timeline, and this is, as always, very much dictated by the progress made by the government in controlling the virus and by our “Playing it Safe” guidance. Scottish Volleyball have also issued a Club Survey to assist in the preparation of our clubs to return to our sport. This survey is part of a consultation with clubs to gauge how preparations for returning to our sport are going, and these should have been received by Club Administrators, via email.

If you need any support or information on the State of Readiness document or the Club Survey please contact Andy Fleming, our Coaching and Club Officer, at coaching@scottishvolleyball.org.
