Scottish Volleyball is the National Governing Body for the all the volleyball disciplines in Scotland. Scottish Volleyball is responsible for the development and promotion of volleyball, beach volleyball and sitting volleyball.

Regional Development Officer – West

Blair Pettigrew

Our RDO west has responsibility for growth and development of the sport in the west region. Working from the sportscotland HQ in Glasgow, he helps develop and build capacity across three key areas including;

  • Clubs – New and existing – Governance, pathways, and volunteer/coach education
  • Schools / Further Education – clubs and competition / Staff Education and delivery
  • Local authorities – partnership delivery and facilities development

As a changing life champion our RDO is responsible for Sharing, influencing and embedding the changing lives approach in our sport; Intentional use of our sport and physical activity for wider community and societal impact.

As team manger understudy Blair also works closely with our beach performance programme. He is the point of contact for the partnership with University of the West Scotland and account manager with the kit Supplier Zeon. As part of Scottish Volleyballs communication and marketing group Blair is actively involved in the social media communications and overall strategy
