Physical Education Teachers CPD weekend by the SVA
We are delighted to re-introduce the extremely popular learning weekend for all physical education teaching staff and students in Scotland. The weekend event hosted by sportscotland at the newly refurbished National Sports Centre in Largs, Ayrshire.
The two-day course will provide a mix of both interactive class-room based theory and practical based content tailored to meets the needs of teaching staff in line with current course content. Multiple options for the practical delivery will allow course attendees to pick the practical input best suited to their needs, from introduction to volleyball delivery to higher level system of play and transition from 4v4 to 6v6.
A mix of delivery staff from internal SVA development team to external providers accompanied by peer learning from some best practice will allow a rounded learning experience for all attendees. A detailed delegate pack will include resources to aid delivery on your return to your teaching environment.
The evening will provide a platform for networking amongst fellow teaching and Scottish volleyball staff in a more relaxed social environment.
The cost of the weekend has been heavily subsidised by the SVA and as such we are delighted to offer substantial savings to schools who are affiliated (affiliation fee currently £25 for the year).
Date – 09:00 am Saturday 6th to Sunday 7th June 5:00 pm
Venue – National Sports Centre, Largs
Cost – Affiliated School £95* per person based on two people sharing a room
Non-affiliated school £150* per person based on two people sharing a room
Please note there is an additional £20 surcharge for single occupancy
*This fee includes, all theoretical and practical inputs, the delegates pack, lunch dinner and overnight accommodation on Saturday including breakfast and lunch on Sunday and parking.
A day delegate rate of £60 for the Saturday is available upon request which includes lunch and delegate pack.
