Competition for places in the teams was very fierce, with over 50 players trying out for a place this year, and the standard was high, so that the coaching staff had some difficult decisions to make to reach the required squad size of 12.
Preparations for the championships continue this weekend with a residential camp in St Andrews, featuring both Scottish teams.
